Take Control of Cat Hair

Take Control of Cat Hair

The battle against cat hair is one that seems to never end. If you have a furry friend, you likely have a furry couch, a furry bedspread and furry clothes.

Prepare to free yourself from the cat hair conundrum once and for all with these simple (and cheap!) solutions.

  • Wear a dampened rubber kitchen glove and simply pass your hand along the fabric. For silken fabrics, use a dry glove instead.
  • Using a refill from a two-edged stick mop, run the rough-bristled edge along your furniture. It will scrape all the cat hair right off.
  • Fur will also cling to a dryer sheet, and your fabric will end up smelling fresh too!
  • If the hairy item is a piece of clothing, putting it in the dryer for 10-15 minutes should leave you with a lint filter full of fur -- and a shirt clear of it.

These are great tips for the removal of cat hair, but it is also helpful if you brush your cat often to cut back on loose hair and pet dander. Products like the FURminator deShedding Tool are designed to remove excess pet fur and keep your cat shiny and pretty too.
